Belated photo posting

So this is actually where things were at on Monday. I managed to make more progress yesterday (while playing poker), and today (while travelling to and from the ski hill). I now have 3.5 inches of raglan seam done. Because I am inbetween a 36 and 38, and am also tall, I have cast on for a 36, but plan to continue until I have at least 13.5-14.5 inches before I join in front.
Paging Wendy: The measurement that it refers to is for the back of the garment, right?

The yarn is Schachenmayr Micro - it is 100% microfibre, and is wonderfully soft. I'm using US 6 circs to make gauge, and am a bit nervous that the stitches might stretch out too much when it is worn. My plan is to give it a try once it is a bit bigger, and if it looks like swiss cheese, I will restart using US 5 circs.

By the way, this was what it was like on the lift today. The people on the chair in front are Mark (amazing ski instructor and totally cool Shakespearean actor), and my friend Leslie.

As an aside, I highly recommend knitting while playing poker - it helps alot with maintaining a poker face.

Oh, that yarn looks yummy! So shiny, and just my shade of blue, too.

OK - for some reason I am making this pattern more complex for myself than it should be; initially I thought the measurement was for the raglan seam, but then I started reading too much into it.

Thanks.
