I must admit, I cast on Friday for Orangina.
First attempt had me casting on correct # of stitches for my size even though I only got 3" instead of 4" over 22st on the gauge swatch - and the thing would've fit Godzilla. I ripped it out, reduced cast on # by 27 st, then tried to knit while in a room full of people, TV, and a martini. Next morning I couldn't figure out why I had 6 extra stitches on needles after only knitting about an inch. Another visit to the frogpond.
Now I've got the 1st sk of 6 knit, and the size looks good.
Must.Put.It.Down and go finish Gyrid.
ah the lure of the new project.

Well I feel better now that I know I'm not the only one who had to frog a few times to get it started :-)
