Orangina Modification

I love the pattern but I'm a little concerned about the neckline doing a droopy/curly kinda thing. I was considering adding a couple of rows of seed or garter stitch. What do you all think? I'm going to swatch this in a couple of days and see what I think...

Also, what cast on would be best for this?

I'm not sure about adding that so I'd definitely swatch it to see how it looks. I did read one blog where the lady simply seamed a little more length on the shoulder seams to address the drape of the neck. She said it worked for her. As for the cast on, I usually use a long tail myself unless it specifies differently. That's what I learned to knit with and it's nice and elastic.

My only concern would be since the edge is scalloped, the added garter stitch rows might straighten that out. if you are worried about the edge being to flimsy, I'd suggest doing a single crochet border instead.
