Somewhat Cowl Yarn Roll Call?

So, for those of you doing the Somewhat Cowl, what yarns are you all using? I've become obsessed with finding yarn, just like LadyLungDoc, and my indecision is paralyzing! I'm hoping that if you'll share what you are working with, it will help me to actually decide! To make matters even more challenging, my LYS doesn't really have much at all in DK or Sport Weight - some Rowan 4ply and some Frog Tree Alpaca...so I'm shopping online. Any responses will sure help me out!

Hey, I got peruvian collection baby silk in morrocan olive from elann.com. The pics online look a little "shiny" but my yarn was just beautiful when it arrived and not at all super shiny. It's also very very soft. I think it's less than $3.00/skein so it's also very affordable. I'll definitely be ordering it again. Elann does a good job with really prompt shipping too. I've ordered a few times from them and been satisfied every time.

I'm using Knitpicks Shine Sport, in, uh, well I've forgotten what color. It says it knits up at the same gauge, though, and I really like the hand. (Affordable, too!)

I've ordered Andean Treasures from knitpicks. It is pretty inexpensive, too. I think my order was $41, and I got 11 skeins. Can't wait to see how the color looks in real life--I ordered "embers" since I wanted a dark red. I think I saw in a comment on another post that someone else is using this too.

I'm using the one the pattern calls for. :) I love it so far. Very soft and silky... WOO.

Indeed, I am using that as well, Dr. Spaulding. Same color too. I promise I won't wear mine to the sock hop if you're going to. ;)

I just received my Schachenmayr Micro in the mail - it's not the teal I was hoping for; but it's more of an electric blue. It's not a bad colour, and it is nice and soft. I am going to start swatching tonight.

I'm using Debbie Bliss Wool Cotton. I'm still sort of new and relied on guidance from the LYS. They said it was a good multi-season choice. Let's hope!
