Yikes!

I am having trouble finding alpaca/silk yarn for the Somewhat Cowl that will cost me less than $50 USD...

Yikes.

So now, I am thinking of doing it in cotton blend... so I can wear it thru the summer, and it will cost less! :)

Anyone else doing the Somewhat cowl in a summery type yarn too?

Emms :)

Edit: I found something!

Elann has Endless Summer Collection Luna and it works out pricewise, season wise, and gaugewise!!!

Yahoo!!!

Somewhat Cowl, here I come!

Thank you for finding something cheaper -- I think I may be able to knit it now!

Hey, elann also has a yarn called peruvian collection baby silk that will work nicely as a sub for the alpaca and silk. I just ordered mine and with shipping it was less than $30.00. Can't beat that!

I ordered the Alpaca and Silk from kpixie.com. The kit includes the pattern. If you have never ordered from them before, they will email a coupon code for 10% off your first order if you sign up for the newsletter and create an account. All in all, I ordered the kit (yarn and pattern) for $52.50 and that included shipping.
