Rusted Root Questions

I started my Rusted Root yesterday and am making the XS in Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece in "Soft Gold" (a now discontinued color.) I have a 35" bust but small shoulders/upper body, and I made a Small in Wicked and it was too large, while my XS Green Gable fit just the way I liked it. So..decided to make the same size in Rusted Root as GG worked out so well.

Here's a pic I took a few rounds ago to show the color:

I just finished Round 9 and have a few questions maybe you all (and/or the Zephyr Style gals) could help me out on:

Did you slip your stitches knit wise or purl wise for the slip 1, knit 1, psso on Rusted Root? Usually slipping stitches would always be done purlwise if not indicated otherwise, but slipping for a PSSO I thought was usually done knitwise. I've been slipping them knitwise but it doesn't specify on the pattern.

Also, on the sleeves with those minibobbles (that's what I'm calling them anyway) - on the next row, did you knit all of those together? I'm not ending up with two stitches between each cluster even though that's how I knit them (k2, then k1fbfb). And I also have way too many stitches when I'm done so must not be knitting enough together.

Help? Ideas?

On row 9 for the lace pattern - we're suppose to slip 1, Knit 2 together, pass stitch over. Maybe you didn't knit 2 together by habit of a normal slip 1, knit 1, psso pattern. Also, there is a P3 together. I almost P2together by habit myself. I hope that helps.

Thanks Susan - yeah, I noticed it was different for Round 9 and I followed that. Still for the K2tog, would I slip the first one knitwise or purlwise? Or maybe it just doesn't matter?

I don't think I changed how I did it based on the pattern. As long as you're consistent (ie. purlwise each time) I think it should work out fine. Only time will tell though. lol

I slip knitwise when doing the psso thing and it looks fine!

That is such a gorgeous color! I initially wanted to do mine in a yellow as well, but Gold Dust is a little to bright for me and Banana is nice but a little too pale. Too bad your color is discontinued!

when you sl1, k2tog, psso, you're supposed to slip knitwise (I learned this yesterday while knitting lace socks). Other than that and ssk's I tend to follow the "slip purlwise unless otherwise told to do so" rule
