more issues with gauge
I started knitting my Sahara and when I measure a swatch, the gauge is correct at 5 stitches per inch as indicated on the pattern. However, I am making the small size which casts on with 64 stitches. The math tells me that this piece should measure 12.8 inches wide if the gauge is correct. The width of my piece after 10 rows is about 13.8 inches--a whole inch off! I wonder if I should just frog it and start over in a size smaller needle or just make the smaller size. I'm just afraid it will stretch and I don't want to get through a lot of it only to have that happen! Advice?

I would go down a needle size. Changing actual sizes knitting is a big change. Going down a needle size is better, because it should change it just enough that it will be ok.
