
I wasn't sure I wanted to do it. I liked the pattern but I wasn't sure that I'd have yarn in my stash that would be a suitable substitute. Plus, I just have so darn much going on. Still, this pattern just looks classic, like something I'll wear again and again. Jeanie said TLC Cotton Plus would be a good sub and it just so happens that I have a ton of that in my stash. I've knit a top with this before and it does have nice resiliency in a ribbed pattern. So, when the KAL kicks off, I'll be using TLC Cotton Plus in spruce along with three buttons from my late grandmothers' sewing basket. I might have to fiddle with the neckline to make the buttons work but I think it will be worth it. Can't wait till we get started!!
