i haven't posted lately so i wanted to check in, i've been so distracted that i forgot to vote on the new kal, twice! bummer! i bought this rosey albany jaeger to to make the corset top i wanted for my wardrobe and i wanted to make it with pals!
i'm not commited to the latest kal, i've always thought it was a stunning choice but i am so hot from these flashes that i'm going to pass and work on a hemp number i have in the stash and maybe do the corset top for the fall. can't wait to see progress photos. i wanted to also show my picovoli with sleeves, it was made, quite some time ago, out of tahki tweedy classic in hot pink, orange, lime and turquoise.
and my latest project, aside from the swc which i've already shown off, is this blue smock i made from berroco denim silk...it's my own design and i think i love it, what do you think???
later and have a fun kal and summer!

That is a beautiful sweater!
That's a lovely sweater! I also love how you modified the picovoli to add the sleeves.
can't believe you're another pittsburgher! are you knitting the corset pullover from interweave knits for fall? that was my favorite :) or the sleeveless tank thing that didn't get nominated this time around? what yarn are you planning to use? would love to hear more about the corset project and about your dogs! read your blog, but couldn't find anything (other than that you're looking for names...)
i will TRY to make some sense out of my blue smock pattern notes...i'm not so good at keeping track of what i'm doing while creating! and lisabe (yeah another pittsburgh sexy knitter!) i always write about my dogs, they each have their own pages on my website you just have to surf a little. i'll get back to you on all other issues i'm off to the country for the day! later g
blue smock is fab. please make it available,
That blue smock is gorgous and it looks like it's a fabulous fit!
Love the blue smock! Would like the pattern if you make it available. Please, please, please!!
Gay, I really love the sweater you made. I will be anxiously awaiting pattern details - what a great knit! Looks fabulous!
I love both sweaters! I haven't seen that many people add sleeves to Picovoli. Did you follow Kathy's instructions, or did you "do your own thing?" Your blue sweater should be published - I think people of all ages will find it fashionable.
Its great to see both your creations; especially the Picovoli. Since my bust is small I wasn't sure what picovoli would look like when done. The Picovoli you made is just perfect!
Gosh! Just beautiful.
And such a fantastic fit.
Pleeeeeeze make your pattern available!!! It's gorgeous!
