stupid question on the cowl...

People, I've had a serious brain fart and now I'm scared to go any further on this thing. I'm making the somewhat cowl. I'm just knitting along, increasing before and after each stitch marker on the right side, purling on the wrong side. I'm also knitting front & back on the first and last stitch on the right side. But then I went and checked my pattern as I'm not to the 10" increase seam yet, and noticed it says, "At the same time, increase in the first and last stitch on the needle on each RS row, 2(2,2,4,4,4) times." Is this what I'm doing? I'm doing that on each RS row. What's the 2 times thing? Should I only knit front & back twice out of this whole first part of the sweater? Does the 2 times mean 2 stitches at the front and 2 stitches at the back? ARRRRRGGGGHHHH major brain fart. This is at the beginning of the pattern, in the first paragraph. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks people!

OH CRAP does this mean I'm supposed to knit front and back TWO TIMES in each of those stitches????? AAAAAAWWWWWWWWW man I bet that's it. That's a lot of froggin. Seriously, I'd appreciate any comments here!

I think it means you should've increased on the first and last stitch only on the first 2 RS rows (at least, that's what I did)

Ditto for me. Increase one stitch in the first and last stitches of each right side row, 2 TIMES ONLY.

Welcome to the frog pond. You are in good company...
