I need some advice

I love all of the completed SC's I have seen on here you ladies rock! I decided to knit this for Mom as a Mother's Day surprise. Well, she is going to be in town a week earlier than I thought so I have to knit the entire cowl today (wish me luck). Anyway, to my question...Yesterday I knit both of the sleeves and I have a very weird line where I joined to knit the sleeves, it almost looks as if I knit the last row before the join with larger needles to me... Can Y'all see that? My question is will this even out in blocking? Am I going to have to do some creative stitch tugging to make this less noticeable? any advice short of "its the frog pond for you" cause I just might cry if that is the only solution (thanks alot PMS).
Thanks in advance! Amanda

My only thought is that you knit in the round a bit smaller than you do back and forth. I don't know of a way to block this out.

Seriously -- NO ONE will notice this. Don't worry about it.

I don't think anyone will notice it either? Is this the gift for the knitter? But even if it is, I'm not the type to marvel at the stitches in gifts I receive, especially to notice inaccuracies.

Hmm, did you twist the stitches when you picked them back up? You can see it when it's laying flat, but like the other said, I don't think anyone but us will ever notice it when it's being worn.

Mine was like that too, exactly. I think it was from the stitches being held on the waste yarn a bit more loosely than on the needle. Mkine blocked out beautifully. I just gave it a gentle bath (actually let her soak overnight), rinsed, rolled in a towel and laid flat to dry. I pinned out the neck edge since it was rolling significantly and I wanted a clean edge to join the cowl onto. I was really pleased with the way the Elann Quechua alpaca/tencel washed and blocked. I bet your little puffy line goes away, too. What yarn did you choose? It's a beautiful color, and your knitting is really lovely!

thanks all...thankfully, it is not for the knitter, but I know it will be appreciated. I feel a bit better.
