Nomination (and un-nominating)
I'm going to take back my nomination for the Elfin Goth top, since further information reveals it's really complicated and not practical for the knit along.
I did find another cute pattern though. A sweet little button up vest.

that is really lovely. i can't tell how the bottom ends--is it all in a point, or is the point flanked by side panels? that is, i can't tell whether the model is wearing a shirt underneath that's creating the white on her hips or whether that's the sweater. regardless, it's really unique. i also enjoyed reading her post about it. i may have to buy that book!
You have to buy the Domiknitrix book and then there's some way to access the pattern by clues or what not to gain access on the site. Apparently the pattern is 20 pages long and she knits on the bias which is why it gets so snug.
There are other pictures of it also if you click on the sleeve picture to the right. That is the sweater though I think.
I don't think you Have to buy the book to get it, it's just free for those who have it. Anyway I'll let everyone know when I find out how to get it.
I have the pattern and it is gorgeous, but is 20 pages long and super complicated. It is almost all bias knitting and has marvelous detailing. I plan on making this one once I get the stuff I have on needles done, but I can't imagine it being completed in any timely fashion. This one is going to take more brains and paitience than speed.

I really like the Nicole Vest. I was planning on making it anyway but it would be a great summer SKC knit.
I really like the Nicole vest too. In fact I just bought and downloaded the pattern. I've read it through and the instructions seem clear and it shouldn't be that difficult. I'll be making it regardless of whether it is officially picked for the knitalong or not.
