Old Blogger/New Blogger Issues

Hello All! Recently we've been inundated with emails from those of you who are switching to the new version of Blogger regarding problems posting, accepting blog invitations, etc. We have attempted to make the switch to the new version of Blogger, however it appears that not all blogs are able to make the switch. This is all the information I could find regarding this issue.

Many of you have requested to be removed from the blog, which we can do but this is quite time consuming so at this time, we're asking that you wait with us until Blogger is able to allow us to make the switch to the new version. If you absolutely can't wait, feel free to email us and we'll put you on the list of those who want to be removed, however we ask you to be patient, as this may take several weeks to get to.

If any of you know how to contact a representative from Blogger directly asking if they have any idea how long it will take them until they're able to allow large blogs to make the switch, PLEASE post that information here.

Thanks!

Yep - I'm in the same boat with my personal blog- cannot convert to the new blogger yet, either.

I switched to the new version as soon as it was available and didn't have any problems.

I can't "join" the SKC though because it isn't converted.

Blogger presents the conversion process as quick, easy and reliable. The SKC is not experiencing that ease.

Blogger does have a discussion forum, with real trouble shooters posting, perhaps complaints could be posted there.

Ummm... Blogger dates this entry as 2008. Do they know something we don't about how long it will take to fix?

I had the same problem, but keep trying. That was the advice I got from another bloogger and eventually it worked. I tried it a couple of times a day. Good luck. I'm not crazy about the new beta blogger yet, maybe soon.

here's an idea: Blogger claims that "large blogs" (those with 1,000+ posts and comments) will take longer to move.

What if you DELETE a bunch of the old posts. Just keep the most recent posts.

Or, just start a new blog on new blogger and delete this one.

I'm sad. I tried to respond to my invitation to join last night at it kept saying....
Blog Invitation Error

We could not find the invitation you requested. Please confirm that you copied the exact URL (which I did 500 x's) that was sent to you by email. Also note that an invitation can only be used once before it expires. If the invitation was sent to a mailing list, somebody else may have responded first.
any suggestions???

I had no trouble converting. I have a blog on Blogger (don't use it anymore but it's there) and I'm a member of 3 large KAL's. I switched over with no issue. I can still post on the older blogs as well as newer blogs.

Keep trying ladies! It will work!

Hi,
Just got your message and made the switch.
Sitting out the last couple of KAL's
due to health, xmas knitting, and charity knitting. As always, both patterns chosen are beautiful and will go on my to-do list.
Currently working on some scarfs for the Red Scarf Project.
I would like to continue to be a member. Do not remove me.
Thanks a Bunch,
:) Happy Knitting to all
Jen
