Fifi or RCC??/

So I had to frog the Fifi after screwing up the cable row. I've recast it on, but after getting the Hana Silk in the mail, I'm wondering if I shouldn't try the RCC instead. Maybe I'm just giving up too easily, though. I really love the Fifi pattern. ARGH. How sad is this that I'm posting here b/c I can't decide what to make...
any opinions on which is more difficult would be appreciated. Thanks.

I haven't looked at the RCC yet, but I am finding Fifi to be very easy - mind you I've done plenty of cabling and top-down raglans before so that's probably why. But I think once you get the knack of the cabling you won't find it too difficult either.

Do you know what the problem was with your cable row? Maybe we can help.

*whispers* Make both! Make both! Muhahahahahaaa...

The problem with my cable row was totally my own fault. I misread the pattern and forgot about the K2 before the cabling started after each marker. It was too difficult for me to TINK back to the beginning of the row, so I ended up frogging. I hate when I make stupid mistakes like that. Serves me right, though, for continuing to work while waiting for my sleeping pill to kick in. LOL I did get back to work on Fifi last night. Made it through the first 6 rounds with no problems. My goal is to make it to round 20 today.
I do plan to make both. Your evil little whisper got to me...:)
Thanks everyone for the suggestions.

Ah, gotcha. Tinking back cables is a pain, so fiddly.

Once you get a bit farther in you'll be able to "read" the cables - like, you'll see where they need to go without even needing to count stitches.

bonjour mes amis....i applaud your brave dedication to fifi (omg heidi...5 times!!!)...from past experience, it will only make you a more savvy and intelligent knitter ...trying to remind myself of this as i frog half the garment i am working on!..(sob)
cyn..you hit the nail on the head about "reading" the cables..being able to visualize where your work is going based on what you have already done is a skill worth cultivating...
shannon...bon courage! i admire you for making this your first full fledged garment...and thinking about doing the rcc!
huge props to this wonderful group...thanks again for all the fifi love and keep the questions coming..xo, kristeen
