Stash Busting Question

Hi, I have enough Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece to make Wicked, but I'm not sure if it's appropriate. I think I can get gauge if I go up a needle size to a 7. Any thoughts on using cotton as an alternative yarn?

I would go for it! I think it would be more like the Green Gable then, as it is a similar top-down design. I'd be curious if the BSCF would look too see-through at that gauge though?

The girls over at Zephyr told me it would work great, and that is what I'm using thanks to their wonderful suggestion!!

I am not part of the SKC but plan on making Wicked sometime in the future. I prefer cotton because wool is a bit too hot for me. I bought Cascade Sierra to make it which is 80% cotton, 20% wool. I asked for opinions on the knitty board and the general consensus was that the cotton would work well as long as it had some wool in it to help keep its shape. Hope that helps! I bet the cotton fleece will work wonderfully.
