How do you like the Cotton Ease for the Tree Jacket so far? I'd like to make this one but not have to spend too much on yarn since I kind of overdid it recently :) Yours looks great so far!
I'm ok with the cotton ease, but as a knitter who rarely knits with cotton, it is a bit tiring on the hands. My cotton ease also has a tendency to split, but the pros (inexpensive, cute colors, looks great so far) definitely outweigh the cons!

Love the CE. How come yours isn't swirling like mine is? Did you SSK that 2nd K2Tog? Your cakes look fantastic, BTW!
Nope. I've been K2Tog all the way. Is the swirling good or bad? Can you post a pic?
Thanks on the cakes! The cake class this semester is kicking my arse!
Duh! I just went to your blog for pics. I would think that the swirling should just block out, if it bothers you.

I am doing it in the same yarn as you! I love the Cotton Ease. I am using matched decreases so that the fabric doesn't bias. It's working great.

I'd go for it in the cotton ease.
