I'm so glad Tree Jacket won...it wasn't love at first sight, but the more I looked at the picture, I realized that it was exactly what I wanted all my lovely stashed Hollyberry KP Andean Silk - that I frogged from a sweater that didn't work - to be!
The question now is size choice...I'm a 36" and I like things on the fitted side (I tend to knit down a size)...but I don't want to lose the lovely drape that is so integral to the look of this design! Hmm...what are you other "nearly inbetween" size ladies thinking about doing?
Juliet is lovely and looks like a lot of fun, but I'm not totally convinced it would look right on my frame...I'm really looking forward to seeing a lot of awesome Juliets out there, though!
Well, off to buy the pattern. YAY!

I'm making the size M myself. I think their patterns tend to run a bit bigger...I just made the green gable, and the rusted root and used the M in both of those and they fit me great. OH plus like the first couple sizes you knit the same till a certain point and you can try it on and decide what size you want to make..
I am a size 36 as well, and I'm going to do as I saw RobinM do, and see what happens after the neck lace pattern. I think that's where the pattern changes to "sizes." I'd like this one to be fitted, since it's got the lace/ribbing pattern going on, I'm pretty sure it'll cling no matter. I'll plan on the M, but may to the S if it wouldn't be that much of a difference.
I am a 36 too. And I chose to do the Juliet in medium. I've finished the armholes and am working on the body.
Considering the shape of the knit and that it's short-sleeved, it probably would have been better for me to small. I can currently close it completely (no front gap) and also the arms seem a bit wide on me. So I guess if you want it to still be open and don't have big arms, I'd recommend small. However if you are doing the tree sweater, I think medium would also work. It seems more forgiving on fit.
Does that help?!? 8D
