Hey all! Very excited to begin on this project, but I think I'm gonna wait to order the yarn until after our Christmas trip to Georgia. I will definitely be visiting some yarn stores while there so I'll be on the lookout for some good yarns (probably many good yarns he he). I've looked at the Knit Picks Shine and none of the colors really interest me. What do you think of the Endless Summer Collection Luna at Elann? Too shiny?
The two other Endless Summer yarns: Connemara and Lara also look like candidates. So many of you have already mentioned Shine though it seems to be a good sub. Any opinions would be appreciated!

I am planning on using Shine but also don't like any of the colors. I am leaning towards Blush but it is really pink! All of the colors are so bold, not really my style but I don't want to spend a lot on yarn for this project though so I may have to settle.
I don't know anything about the other yarns you mentioned but I do know Shine is really soft and machine washable which are my main concerns!
I know this is going to sound crazy, but one of my favorite yarns is TLC Cotton Plus. It's a little heavier than Shine, but might work well for this top. I've used it on several other patterns including Alison's NBaT (two of them actually), my Tube Toporini, and Glampyre's Tubular Camisole. It's machine washable, has a nice drape and is super cheap. Not sure about the gauge for this project, but it might be worth checking out. Just a suggestion.
i have used the connemara and loved the yarn, the colors are great and so is the texture, i hand washed my finished product in cold water and the yarn pilled a little. i have ordered the luna for this kal..giving it another try because the color selection is fabulous and the price is right...gay
