Ok - I've changed my mind. I was going to sit this one out. I wasn't going to knit the Picovoli. But I keep looking at it, and thinking about it. And comparing it to other things I want to knit. I'm slowly becoming obsessed with this sweater. And my closet is deffinately lacking anything like it. So I think I'm going to bite the bullet and go for it. I'll probably do it in the specified Debbie Bliss yarn because it's my very first sweater and I don't want to mess around with gauge. My first sweater - wow that's kinda scary.

Woohoo!!!! Glad to decided to join us! And YES, check gauge. Always!
I think I might jump on this right after xmas. If you do it up in Knit Picks Shine...it's less that 15 bucks for yarn (maybe a little more for the larger sizes). Not too shabby!
I'll deffinatley do a gauge swatch - I'm just saying I hoping to avoid doing any adjusments! Although everyone seems to be into using the Knit Picks Shine so maybe that's a good substitute. I'm not going to be getting the yarn for a few weeks yet so I've got time to think about it. I hope it goes smoothly regardless of the yarn I choose.

i am excited for you! i have done two sweaters so far and i agree with everyone on this one, check gauge very carefully! and remember you knit differently in the round than back and forth... i learned that the hard way on my secind sweater!!!! i did the test gauge back and forth and it was totally off when i knitted in the round! i will start after christmas too, with knitpicks.... shine
Same here! Just ordered the yarn. Still can't decide which color, so I ordered both - a soft baby pink which is very sexy and a light blue which goes so dreamily (it's a word now!) with my eyes.
This will push me to finish my husband's sweater because I can't start this until that's done!
