FIFI--wee little typo on rd 22!

bonjour all...
heads up for a tiny typo on rd 22...it should read:
Round 22 (staggered cable rd): For 120 CO sizes: *K4, then (C4F, K6) to 7 sts before marker, C4F, K3, SM*, rep from * to * around.
For 140 CO sizes: *K 9, then, (C4F, K 6) to 2 sts before marker, K 2, SM, repeat from *. This will allow the staggered cable to begin in the correct place; keeping the central cable which continues the entire length of the garment (center front and center back).

technically it was fine as written, but it is easy to be thrown off by the repeat *.... i want this pattern to be absolutely clear & correct...if you see anything else questionable or unclear, please let me know, xo k

Oh, oh. I think I understood it more before the addition. So, are there 10 sts to the part that is repeated across the row, or 14? Is the repeat in the brackets or the whole thing?

let's see...i am probably complicating things...in plain talk --what you will need to do is after each marker-- K 4 (for 120 CO)or K 9 (for 140 CO), then you will do repeats of what is in parentheses (C4F, K6) until the designated # of sts before the next marker for each of the 2 sizes, then follow the directions (either (C4F, K3) or K 2, respectively), then SM and begin all over again (starting from the *)...
i hope that is clearer, marlene...please let me know if it is not...you will see what to do as you are working...what you want is the cables to start alternating with plain K 4 ribbing
--take a look at the large photo for reference and check back in if there are any probs--a la prochaine, kristeen

Another question:

"Rounds 33-38: Repeat rds 23-28"

Pertaining to row 26, do we ignore the staggered cable instructions and basically just KNIT the entire row? Because row 26 specifically says "This will be the last cable twist done in these 4-st sections...."

good question, katl, and you are correct...since rd 36 will be a repeat of rd 26 (except that from rd 26 on, there are alternating plain K-4 panels with cable panels)...so that in essence, rd 36 is a repeat of the knit round...hope this makes sense and we will clarify this when we reprint the pattern and on the website...keep those questions coming! xo,k

further claification on katl's question...
after rd 26, there will be no more cables in the panels where those cables from rd 26 are...just knit 4 panels ...these need to alternate with cable panels down the rest of the upper bodice...so now in the cable panels that are continuing, there should be repeats of these cables every seven rounds (rd 22, 29,36,43 ) etc...if that is not working out according to the pattern...then i have some more tweaking to do...thanks for all the help in getting fifi perfect, xo k

Thanks Kristeen. It took me a while to get back to read your answer. Seems clear enough to me now, but I haven't started knitting.
