Shall I proceed?

I'm knitting the SKB. I just finished the yoke and have reached the point where I divide the sleeves. I tried on the bodice last night and the right and left fronts come together high on my bust, at about the nipple line. Does that mean I should knit a few more rows before I divide the sleeves? I'm unsure whether to proceed or add some rows. Thanks!

I agree that the pattern should be a little more specific about what we're looking for as far as fit when we try it on. Mine fit just like that and I did not add any rows - I proceeded to the next section. See the other SKC KAL blog if you want any details/pics of what I did.

It looks good how it is but after you add the rows for the neck edging, it might sit too high. I think you should add a few more rows before joining, but then I'm not quite there yet, so I'll be watching what you do for guidance. The yarn looks great. Good luck!

That's how mine looked when I followed the pattern - I decided to add a few extra rows because the fit in the pix on the pattern looked different (the lace panel was at the waist, etc). But, I think it's all about how you want it - a couple of knitters joined it higher up and knit for a while in the round before starting the lace. Like this

I joined and added about 8-10 rows more before starting the purl ridges and lace.
