Red Carpet Convertible, Anyone?
Is anyone knitting the Red Carpet Convertible? If so, I'd love to see some photos of your progress! I have purchased the yarn for it and hope to begin when I finish Fifi, which is temporarily stalled. Please share!
I am, but I just got past the arm holes and I think I made it too small! It's currently on hold for another project, but when I get around to it, I'll try to take pictures.
I am going to attempt it after FiFi which is stalled for technical reasons! I am waiting for first-aid from Kristeen! ha ha......I will be doing my RCC in a midnight blue and slate blue ribbon......I had wanted red, but the blue was on sale! I couldn't resist!
I started the RCC, modified it, got down past the hips and decided that it's not for me. If I make a dress with my ribbon yarn (Louisa Harding Kimono Ribbon), I'll do it in stockinette and not make it so much off-the-shoulder.
To answer the questions--I will be using Noro Hana Silk and it is a bright, intense red which is a good color for me. I am stalled with Fifi too. I need to just buckle down and finish it. I'm about 30 rows into the lower bodice. I just got sick of all the ribbing. I hate knitting ribbing! So I took a little diversion and I'm finishing up the One Skein Wonder which is taking all of 2 very short sessions!
I still plan to make it when I finish Fifi - I'm trying to be done with that for the Stitches Midwest blogger meetup on Saturday. I am having lots of trouble getting the Tess Designer Yarns ribbon straightened out to put it on the swift and wind it. I may try another skein as the first one I tried was nightmare city.
I'm sitting at my desk - the pattern, circ's, yarn (blue) in front of me - ready to cast on 170 st... But I will "only" be knitting the corset. I think it would have been nice to have a more clear picture, but then, now it is almost like a mystery KAL :-) So.... see you later :-) Pia-Denmark
I am planning on knitting this also and making it knee length. Churchable and I have a fancy wedding to attend at the end of September. I won't be starting it till after August ends and my deadlines are done.

Kozy Kitty, which yarn did you get? I am about half-way done with Fifi, so I am starting to look at possible yarns for RCC.
Is everyone making it in red? Red usually isn't my color, but I'm wondering if I should give it a try or stick with something safe...
