Possible Yarn Substitute
Hello I'm new to the group and I have to confess that I have been eagerly awaiting the release of the Sahara pattern by Wendy Bernard since last week. A possible yarn substitute that is listed as Consumer Friendly is Artyarns Regal Silk (I have linked an online vendor as Artyarns site didn't go straight to the Regal Silk page). I am using Regal Silk for my SKB and it seems to be going good. I am using a size 6 needle and getting about 5.5 sts to the inch. Below is a picture of my first try on. I'm getting ready to start the waist detail.

Sahara's nice but (in my opinion) it's too similar to the SKB and I'm ready for something a little different. Besides, I still have ill feelings about Tilli Tomas and wish our knitting designers would consider the ethics of the yarn companies they're endorsing when designing a pattern with these yarns. It pretty much ruins the whole pattern for me.
