Nomination

This was on Knitty Gritty and is called the Combo Corset-T! The pattern is a simplified version of the original Silk Corset top and is FREE here (pdf)!

The pattern calls for ArtYarns yarn which is consumer friendly, although it looks like any worsted weight yarn might work. Annie offers great pattern support as well.

I'll second that, or maybe it's third that...

I'll fourth it! Love this pattern, and have been waiting for motivation to complete it (as well as a SKC KAL to join)!

i did about half of the original silk corset, and while I truly looooove the pattern. . . it is soooo tedious. I like something i can knit while I watch tv or the boyfriend playing soccer. So I have been wanting to try this version. I love the look of the silk corset because it can be dressed up or down. I'd vote for this one!

YES! Could we even do a KAL where folks chose whether to do the simplified version or the original?

I'd like that simplified version/original KAL. I bought the pattern ages ago. Need to stash-redux!

I could go for the simple version of this but tell me, is crochet difficult? I can knit and pearl, increase and decrease and read a simple chart but the crochet thing scares me a little.

I knit and crochet and picked them both up rather quickly. How easy it is too learn will vary from person to person of course, but the crochet this pattern calls for seems rather simple. I'm sure there are lots of ladies here who would lend a helping hand if anyone got stuck on it. :)
