Eiffel

Edited to update consumer friendly yarn info...

I nominate Eiffel. I just saw it in the new Winter Knitty today. The pattern calls for Hemp for Knitting yarn. Since this yarn was not listed on the Consumer Friendly Yarns website, I e-mailed Lana at Hemp for Knitting and she told me they have no required keystone pricing policy. So yay! This can count as an official nomination.

Quick! Someone contact the manufacturer and ask them about their keystone pricing policy so that we can keep this as a nomination!

Oh I'm so glad this pattern has been suggested! I wrote an email asking to join SKN a couple of days ago and I'd love to join in a knitalong to this pattern. I hope it qualifies for a nomination!!! I hope I get added to SKC soon!!!

I e-mailed Lana at Hemp for Knitting about their pricing policy and this was her response. "I'm pleased to tell you we have no fixed pricing requirements. We provide our stores with the rrp (recommended retail price) and they are free to set their price." So yay! This counts as an official nomination.

I saw this one "in person" at Stitches East last month and it is GORGEOUS. I bought the yarn for it at Lana's booth and have been waiting anxiously for the pattern to come out (as she mentioned it would be in the next Knitty). We HAVE to do this one.

now this is fabulous but i also love the inspiration for this pattern...the lacey little top made of the allhemp 3 which i have the pattern and the yarn in my stash but i do love this one!

This is very cute...would it be good for busty women? If y'all think so, I'd second this one as well.

I agree that this top is pretty..but I am just not sure if it is something I would/could wear. Just sayin'....=)
I would not want to wear it on it's own (like the model is) and I am not too sure how it would look with a shirt underneath.
But I do think it would be a fun knit, and I would love to see all the variations on it if it did win.

I emailed Consumer Friendly Yarns last week, and apparently what Lana says and what she actually does MAY be two different things. CFY says that they have heard that Lana "says" she doesn't have price-fixing requirements and yet won't return phone calls to companies who sell below MSRP. They're still researching this but for now say that they don't have enough information to officially list her as Friendly. The email I received today from CFY says, "...since actions speak louder than words, Consumer Friendly Yarns currently considers Hemp For Knitting "unfriendly" until we see Lana "doing" what she says she does, and will be updating our list accordingly unless our source tell us that she has indeed opened an account with their store". I don't know if this will get resolved before the voting begins, but it could affect whether or not it is even considered for this knit along.
