I have to say I was very intimidated by this pattern at first, because I had never worked with charts before. But I took Marnie's advice and created a "crib sheet" and it went fairly smoothly. I had some trouble with the sleeves, but after reading Mary_Me_A_Little's post, I got "Knitting Without Tears" from the library, and I'm very happy with how easily they came together. (After having frogged the first sleeve 3 times.) I also liked the sweater without the sleeves and may knit another sleeveless version some day. The steeks scared the snot out of me, but I took the plunge and am keeping my fingers crossed. I put them at the shoulder seams. I'm happy with the yarn and I love the color - Berroco Comfort #9761. It's a beautiful pattern, and I will be wearing this one a lot!

It turned out beautiful! I have a question about the size--did you make it with negative ease?

I did not. I have a 34" bust and my gauge was correct, so I knit the small, and it seems to have worked just fine. My only mods were knitting the sleeves in the round instead of knitting them flat, and adding a couple rows to the bottom to accomodate my long waist. I know there was some question about the sizing and mixed up charts, but I did not see any posts about it until I was very far along with this sweater, so I was "luckily" ignorant of the problems.

Thanks for the compliment, by the way. ;)

It came out beautiful! I am 95% done and unfortunately put it down a month ago and haven't picked it up since. I think I am too scared of the steeks - if I finish the sleeve, I'll have to do the steeks, so I am procrastinating ...
I also knit the sleeves in the round after reading MaryMeALittle's post. Maybe next week I'll post an FO!
