Turns out I have been twisting my stitches by wrapping the yarn incorrectly on the purl stitch! Guess that's what you get when you teach yourself to knit from a book!Dr. Spauldinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17634544515782140221noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18928997.post-1144263653265422162006-04-05T12:00:00.000-07:002006-04-05T12:00:00.000-07:00wow! i don't even notice it. hehe.wow! i don't even notice it. hehe.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18928997.post-1144255055632474492006-04-05T09:37:00.000-07:002006-04-05T09:37:00.000-07:00You'll probaly be the only one who notices.(I just...You'll probaly be the only one who notices.(I just thought, dam I wish I looked that good!) I do have a hint that is a book I have (can't remember which one) that might help in the future. If you purl with more tension, then before the join and knitting in the round use a size larger needle on the purl rows. That way when you join and knit in the round the tension is the same threwout the garment.Janhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00756209475355561734noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18928997.post-1144245764827574102006-04-05T07:02:00.000-07:002006-04-05T07:02:00.000-07:00I can see it, but that's not exactly a bad thing. ...I can see it, but that's not exactly a bad thing. The "line" formed by the changeover falls in a good spot, so it looks like a design. I wouldn't worry about it.Colleenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16630614483154754887noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18928997.post-1144239558019010332006-04-05T05:19:00.000-07:002006-04-05T05:19:00.000-07:00I have the same problem, and when I go from knitti...I have the same problem, and when I go from knitting on straights to circulars (or vice versa) in a pattern my gauge changes. With some yarns it looks okay after blocking, but with others I've had to change needle size with the switch to make it come out okay. If anyone knows how to fix this knitting quirk, I'd certainly like to hear about it too!AimeeJessicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06688187062717223657noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18928997.post-1144211424586277302006-04-04T21:30:00.000-07:002006-04-04T21:30:00.000-07:00Woah momma!
